April 6th Meeting

Please be sure to attend our meeting tomorrow as our very own Gail Lehrmann presents information on the Peaceful Schools Program.
This is a program not to be missed!

Introducing the New Officers of the RVU-RCC!
The newly installed officers of the Rocky Vista University - Rotary Community Corp will be in attendance at the meeting.  Please introduce yourself and help make them feel welcome.  These are future physicians, community leaders, and hopefully future Rotarians!
Recap of Last Meeting

Jill Pitcher, DO, Assistant Professor - Family Medicine and Clinical Medicine at Rocky Vista University (RVU), spoke about RVU's global medicine efforts, and specifically provided and update regarding the use of water filters in Kenya funded with assistance from the Rotary Club of Parker.  Dr. Pitcher was introduced by Rotarian Don Clausen and was presented with a check from the Rotary Club for the water filter project.

The program was provided by Major Steve Garcia, Colorado State Patrol (CSP):

Major Steve Garcia, is Commander of the Colorado State Patrol Training Services Branch.  In a position separate from his CSP work, he serves as Head of National Football League (NFL) Security for the Denver Broncos.  He provided an interesting in-depth look into security management throughout the NFL from a “behind the scenes” perspective.  For example, he indicated that he is responsible for providing the football inflation checks before, at half-time and after each home game of the Denver Broncos.  He manages the canine team present during games and is responsible for conducting investigations into NFL player infractions, violations and misconduct both on and off the field.
