Chaparral Student of the Month for October 2017 - Emma Leishman

Rotarian Dennis Brewster introduced Emma Leishman, our Chaparral High School Student of the Month for October 2017.  Emma was accompanied by her mother, Christy Leishman.  She carries a 3.6 GPA and is ranked 142 in a class of 510.  Emma is a member of the Student Government and currently serves as Student Body Secretary.  She is a leader of Link Crew and is on the POMs team.  One of her teachers said of her:  "Her kindness is both genuine and abundant.  ... She is kind, smart and empathetic and she has dedicated her heart and soul to this school.  Chaparral is a special place because of Emma."

You are cordially invited to join us as we honor our military veterans and recognize our club's rich heritage of military service to our country during our 2017 Annual Veterans Day Program.

Our program will be held during our regular weekly meeting on Thursday, November 9, 2017 - beginning promptly at 0700 hours (7:00am).

Come dressed for the occasion with your military uniform items or other military/branch of service apparel and bring your items of military memorabilia for display on a secure table.

We want to make sure we recognize all of our club's military veterans so please review the attached roster - it was current as of November 2016.  Please let me know of any additions, corrections or other necessary changes as soon as possible.  We will again include this information in our program brochure.

Feel free to invite family and friends.  Put this special event on your calendar now for November 9th - I'm sure you won't want to miss it.

Please feel free to contact me should you have any questions.

Looking forward to seeing you then!
