Student of the Month

JT Mason is the Ponderosa High School Student of the Month.  He has a 3.3 GPA and stands 131 out of 305 seniors.  JT is member of the Student Council and Link Crew.  He participates in Lacrosse and is captain of the Cross Country Team.  He loves poetry, knitting, and long walks on the beach.  JT plans to attend Metro State and study marketing.  His coach praised JT’s inspirational leadership and considers him to be the best captain of the cross country since he has been coaching at Ponderosa.  JT joined Bret during a 100 mile run, who noted that it is unusual for an adult to rely on a teenager as much as he did on that occurrence. JT was accompanied at the meeting by his mother, Sandra Barrett
