Li Pettett demonstrated a willingness to enthusiastically and passionately participate in virtually all of our club projects and has been an active participant in District activities:  
  • *Li led our efforts to support Home for Our Troops
  • *Supported and volunteered with Project Sanctuary
  • *Participated in every Task Force food drive
  • *Helped Kam regularly with RCC
  • *Volunteered regularly for project CURE
  • *A key volunteer for the Open World project
  • *Volunteered for virtually every fundraiser
  • *Attended Rotary Leadership Institute                                                           *Attended District Assemblies and Conferences                                                   *Participated in a mission trip and volunteers regularly at the Parker Task Force and her church                                       *The list goes on and on.
2013 - 2014 Board of Directors Honored
 

Bob SatromTreasurer, Bob has served as our treasurer for 5 years and has done an excellent job of managing both our club and service funds.

Michele DuncanFundraising Director, Michele served for two years as Youth Services Director before becoming our Fundraising Director, arguably one of the most difficult positions in the club.

Steve Brown International Service Director has served admirably in this position for the past 2 ½ years. Most recently, Steve led the way on a $35,000 International Grant to provide clean water and sanitation to an Orphanage in the Dominican Republic.

Cathy Groves – Club Service has been involved in virtually every aspect of the club over the 13 years as a member.  Cathy and her husband, Jon, will be moving soon.  Her enthusiasm was contagious and we will miss her.

Larree Morgan – Youth Service Director has been a member of the Rotary Club of Parker for 18 years. Larree did an excellent job of modifying our scholarship program not only to recognize academic performance but need as well. 

Li Pettett – Community Service Director joined Rotary on May 24, 2012.  Sex weeks later she accepted the opportunity to head Community Service.  It has been nonstop ever since.

David Selden – Vocational Service Director has been a Rotarian for 3 ½ years.  He became interested in the 4-Way Test.  As Director this year he has led the committee in developing an Essay Contest for High School students and the implementation of a scholarship program.

Ron Beller – Public Relations Director joined our club in May of last year.  Shortly after, Ron stepped up and accepted the position of Public Relations Director and has done an outstanding job of improving Rotary awareness throughout Parker and the County.

Larry Brutlag – Grants Director has become the “Grants Guru” for our club and the noon club.   With Larry’s knowledge and willingness to help in the preparation of Grants we have utilized all of the grant monies available to our club, with some creative partnerships, additional funds have also been made available.

Steve Sumption – Sergeant at Arms stepped up and agreed to become our Sergeant at Arms with another member moved out of state. Steve did an excellent job getting the meeting room ready each week, taking it dow after the meeting and most importantly selling drawing tickets!

Tom Duncan – Foundation Treasurer handles cash, credit card payments and fundraiser expenditures for al of the clubs fundraisers in attrition to his duties as the Foundation Treasurer.  Thank you Tom for all that you do and for helping the club to be as efficient as possible!

Glen Petty and Randy Hill – Program Chairs who put in a lot of effort, numerous emails, phone calls and lots of follow up to be sure we  have speakers each week.  They have done an outstanding job of providing interesting, informative and fun programs.

Ben Martin and Kam Breitenbach were thanked for stepping in for Bill Fernow when he moved out of state.  Ben agreed to fill in as Secretary while Kam took over the Lamplighter.

Sue Gardner and Janice Beller were thanked for their commitment to the Youth Exchange program and the major commitment that requires a significant amount of time.  They did an outstanding job!

Alvaro Pissoni and Cathy Hill were recognized for their work with the Open World program.  Alvaro and his committee went above and beyond the norm to make this year’s Open World program truly exceptional.

Steve Trevino, Melanie Baker-Hood and Tom VanderHeiden were thanked for this years’ State of the Town and Mayor’s Ball an event that we can all be proud of. 

  Jim Boyd was thanked for all the great pictures this year while Steve Brown, Steve Gilbert and Jim Muir were thanked for the great music that kicks off every meeting.

Carl Finamore thanked Kathy Hill, non-Rotarian, for holding the Open World Reception in her home.  (We’d LOVE for you to become a member!!)
